I have a full car licence. What do I need to ride a scooter?

Nothing, you are legally entitled to ride a 50cc without
taking any form of test or training. However it is advisable
to do a CBT.
Q) What is a CBT (Compulsory Basic Training)?
A)
It is a course of half to one day of instruction on handling
a scooter/motorbike. At the end of the course you receive
a certificate enabling you to ride up to and including a
125cc motorcycle. You can then carry on to take additional
training to pass tests which enable you to qualify for a
full motorcycle/moped licence.

am sixteen what do I need?
A)
You need a provisional driving licence. You also need to
do the CBT course. You can then ridea 50cc bike with 'L'
plates. Start by filling in the licence application form
from a Post Office.
Q) I
am seventeen what do I need?
A)
You can ride up to a 125cc with 'L' plates. You can
apply for a full licence, on receiving this you can discard
your 'L' plates (50cc only) and take pillion passengers
(50cc only).
Q) I
have no licence and I want to take my full motorcycle test.
What do I do?
A)
1) Get a provisional licence.
2) Take the CBT.
3) Ride on public roads for two years.
4) Pass the motorcycle theory test, apply for motorcycle
practical test.
